Induction Period Reader

Four-parameter kappa fit to a Rancimat conductivity trace
Drop a trace here, or choose a file
Two columns: time and conductivity. Comma, semicolon or tab separated. A Metrohm export with Time [s] and Measured value works as it stands — seconds are detected and converted to hours. Drop several files at once and they are read as replicate runs of one oil: each is fitted separately and the scatter between them is reported, which is the uncertainty that belongs on a value used in a correlation.
Self-test against the published table

Eight runs from the collaborating laboratory's own archive are built into this page, chosen to span the awkward cases: shapes at the wall of the admissible set, shapes deep in the negative half-line, runs whose second-derivative reading does not exist, and the shortest and longest induction periods in the set. The tool refits each from its raw trace and compares against the value in the workbook that accompanies this link. If these agree, a disagreement on your own traces is a fact about the data and not about the arithmetic.
